Sonotube Polygonal Concrete Forms
Sonotube square concrete forms reduce production costs by speeding setup and tear-down
Architects and builders now have greater design flexibility with these fast, easy-to-setup square and rectangle forms. From the outside, a Sonotube square concrete form looks like a traditional round form, but inside it contains a square fiberboard insert locked into place with polystyrene. This design ensures the finished column is true to form by enabling the square insert to stand strong against the weight and pressure of poured concrete. When the concrete cures, the finished column retains the straight lines, flat surfaces and chamfered corners of the desired square shape.
Sonotube Polygonal can be purchased with or without chamfers. For more information on available sections, please go to size chart page.
Easier form removal
Sonotube square concrete forms now feature a quick, safe and convenient way to remove the forms after the concrete sets. The RipCord™ stripping filament eliminates the time-consuming process of cutting the form away. Sonotube square concrete forms are manufactured with the RipCord filament mounted inside the tube. When pulled with a hammer, pry bar or other tool handle, the RipCord strap cuts right through the form wall. Now the form can be removed without marring the surface of the column.
Rain resistance
Sonoco engineers applied a century of leadership in design, technology and manufacturing to create a high-strength, rain-resistant design for Sonotube forms. The new technology's attributes allowed Sonoco to reduce the weight of the forms, making them easier to handle, set, strip and discard. And now with RainGuard™ technology,* Sonotube forms stand strong even in wet weather. Set today and pour tomorrow.
